Video: Alberto Contador crashes in Vuelta and takes other riders down
Having crashed several times in the Tour de France last month before abandoning, Alberto Contador has hit the deck again in the Vuelta.
On a left turn just before the finish Contador was bumped slightly by one of the Lotto-Soudal riders and went straight down. Because the spill occurred well inside the final 3km he loses no time overall, but having already relinquished time on some of the uphill finishes so far, nursing crash injuries is the last thing he needed.
