SKY ready for busy end of March

Mikel Landa will finally make his debut for Team SKY at Settimana Coppi e Bartali. He will race for his new team for the first time after a viral infection delayed the start to his season. The four day race will be a good way to ease himself back into competition.

Another rider returning from injury is Philip Deignan. He will be joined by strong climbers like Sebastian Henao, David Lopez and Xabier Zandio. Alongside them will ride Dany van Poppel and neo-pros Gianni Moscon and Alex Peters.

For E3 Harelbeke, SKY won`t have last year`s winner Geraint Thomas as he is competing in Catalunya. However, new signing Michal Kwiatkowski will join the squad along with the likes of Luke Rowe and Elia Viviani. SKY will hope that their mix of young and experienced riders will work well together.

Their squad remains largely unchanged two days later for Gent-Wevelgem. With the race suited more for the sprinters, Danny van Poppel will head over from Coppi e Bartali with the permission of the race organizers, slotting himself into the eight-man unit in place of Kwiatkowski.
