Geniez fined after fight with Dupont in Giro d’Italia. See the video
Alexandre Geniez (FDJ) has been fined 200 Swiss Francs for ‘improper conduct’ after an altercation with AG2R-La Mondial’s Hubert Dupont following the finish of stage 3 of the Giro d’Italia.
Geniez and Dupont lost 1:37 after being caught up in a crash with around 11 kilometres remaining of the stage. The time loss is a big blow to Geniez who was hoping to mount a general classification bid after his ninth place in last year’s race.
