Volta a Catalunya live stream 2018
The 98th edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya starts on Monday 19th of March and it will be broadcasted live stream on Cycling Today.
The third longest running cycling race after the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia continues to attract the attention of some of the most outstanding names on the world circuit who will tackle a 1.259 kilometer course spread over seven stages in a row.
Chris Froome was a fixed name from Sky in the Volta in the last four editions but he will miss this year tour. Being investigated for a positive excess of salbutamol in the last edition of the Vuelta Espana, the four time champion of the Tour de France has preferred to step out and bet on other races. In his place the British team comes up with a squad with the Colombian Sergio Henao as the leader.
The Movistar Team will show up with the most competitive squad. Not only Quintana and Valverde the winners of the last two editions will be in Catalonia, but also the great hope of Catalan cycling Marc Soler who is in a great moment after winning the Paris-Nice
With a renewed route, the two high altitude arrivals will be at the ski resorts of La Molina and Vallter 2000 in the Pyrenees of Girona, two stages that will be played in the third and fourth days and that can decide the winner of the 98th edition of the Volta a Catalunya.

- Stage 2 - March 20: Mataró - Valls / 175,6 km.
- Stage 3 - March 21: Sant Cugat del Vallès - Vallter 2000 / 199,2 Km.
- Stage 4 - March 22: Llanars - La Molina / 170.8 Km.
- Stage 5 - March 23: Llivia - Vielha / 212.9 Km.
- Stage 6 - March 24: Vielha - Torreferrera / 194.2 Km.
- Stage 7 - March 25: Barcelona - Barcelona / 154.8 km.
