Valverde & Quintana face to face with Lorenzo & Rossi

Ahead of the GP Movistar de Aragon at MotorLand Aragon, Movistar cycling team’s Nairo Quintana and Alejandro Valverde came face to face with their counterparts on a different kind of two wheels – Movistar Yamaha MotoGP duo Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.

Lorenzo and Quintana previously met this season on a rest day during the Tour de France, when the reigning MotoGP world champion went for a ride with the Colombian. At MotorLand after the initial reunion, the cyclists were shown around by their horse-powered counterparts and all four of the riders did a little note-taking from both sides before heading out on track to take on the 5.1 kilometer venue, with Rossi and Lorenzo on their Yamaha M1s and the cyclists on their bicycles.

The 10 left and 7 right corners of MotorLand Aragon – as well as the elevation changes – are a fantastic challenge for both cyclists and motorcyclists, and competitive spirits took over a little as the wheels began to spin.
