Kenny Elissonde will wear the Team Sky jersey in 2017. The French rider, who has ridden at the WorldTour level with FDJ since 2011, has signed a two-year contract with the British team.
During five last years, Elissonde has ridden five Grand Tours (four Vuelta a Espana and one Giro d’Italia). His best result was a stage win in his first Vuelta in 2013, at the top of the Angliru. He won also a stage in Paris-Corrèze.
He was very aggresive in the last Spanish grand tour. The FDJ rider wore the mountain jersey between 15th stage and the penultimate stage. He finished also second to Robert Gesink (LottoNL-Jumbo) during the queen stage where riders had to climb three categorised climbs before the Col d’Aubisque.
