Scary images as Qatari heat strikes again: Iver Knotten collapses during World Junior Championships

Despite the organisers of the World Championships insist that the heat is not in the “danger zone,” many riders are worried about their safety in the heat of the desert in Qatar.

The Norwegian Iver Knotten slumped down on the roadside today in the Junior Men’s Road Race at the World Championships. According to the Norway’s team staff the cause of the collapse was a combination of dehydration and exhaustion. Meanwhile, the Norwegian Cycling Federation announced that Knotten is doing well.
