Nairo Quintana wins Route du Sud 2016

Arnaud Demare (FDJ) won the final stage at the Route du Sud, out-sprinting Yohann Gene (Direct Energie) in Astarac Arros en Gascogne.

Nairo Quintana (Movistar) finished safely in the peloton to secure the overall win, followed by teammate Marc Soler. Hugh Carthy (Caja Rural – Seguros RGA), third place in the GC before the final stage, crashed during Sunday’s stage and slipped off the final podium.
